fear of flying

i am in need of support!!.

i'm meant to be flying to washington from the uk in december and am frightened of flying.

well, not flying exactly, more the falling out of the sky bit.

I maintain military aircraft which are converted passenger aircraft and you would not beleive how rigourus the checking and testing is before each and every flight and the airlines are no different. It would have to be a freak set of circumstances to bring a large multi engine aircraft to grief.

someone left an 8 month old in a van all day..the day care worker forgot the little boy was there and didn't discover him until he went to go pick up kids from school... child found dead in vehicle .

Back in 96 or 97 a family in our cong here in Australia had both their kids die in the car , Dad was on the computer when the kids decided to play in the car and got locked in the back as it was a station wagon with a cargo screen and the tail gate only opened from outside they could not get back out again,so while dad played games the kids were dead in the car.Where was mum i hear you ask, you guessed it she was on field service.

that's right folks, and sorry to get the hopes up of some, but, contrary to what you may have supposed by the subject heading, mr. & mrs. cheeses are off to vanuatu for a week of rest and recreation, leaving friday.. coinciding with our recent 28th wedding anniversary and my upcoming 50th birthday, we decided to flit off to a tropical island for a break of the mundane routines of everyday life.. you all be good (or evil, whichever way you want to look at it), and remember - cheeses is watching.

While i dont want to see the U.S have a go at the N.K's i can't beleive you guys actually believed that crap in that story, there were so many factual errors it beggars belief, yes they do have lots of tunnels but their tactical doctrine is pure russian and guess what? so was Iraq's. The difference is that the N.K's

have more of everything,though that should be read as more targets because that what they would be.

To compare a T-62 tank to an M-1 is ridiculous and even then they got it wrong ,the T62 does not have a 155mm gun nor 700mm of armor and has a deisel engine, the M-1 has a gas turbine that can do nearly 100kph on open ground ,has a 125mm gun and most importantly can shoot on the move ,the T-62 must stop to shoot and to stand still on the modern battlefield is to die. There are plenty more in there i could pull apart but i dont want to bore you.

Mr curious who is in the military and not just talking out his arse.

What do you do for a living ??? Would the elders make you quit your job ???

this one is my biggest pet peeves.. growing up in the borg, i had a hard time finding any job, let alone a decent paying one.. i had to quit many jobs because my parents said "i was missing out to many meetings and field service.".

but how come the elders who worked at ford, chysler, gm, or any big factories, that worked shift work, and missed meetings every three weeks consistently for decades, and that was okay.

the response i would get was, "well they have a family to raise and look after.
